Brisbane Broncos claimed the maiden women’s NRL premiership on Sunday with a 34-12 win over Sydney Roosters.
Former Highlander Chelsea Lenarduzzi was a part of the team.
The Broncos went through the series undefeated to claim the premiership in what was a dominant display.
According to the Broncos website, she made 52 tackles and 261 running metres.
Heading into the match Lenzrduzzi said it was an honour to be a part of the first ever women’s grand final.
The Roosters took the lead early in the game through a penalty but the 2-0 lead didn’t last for long and Brisbane controlled the match and celebrated a convincing win.
Lenarduzzi has played for the Jillaroos and also represented Queensland in the Interstate Challenge in 2017.
